Forty two years ago two families spent a weekend in Oklahoma. One of those families was my dad's - my grandparents, my dad, and my aunt. The other family was the McMurtreys. Mr. McMurtrey worked with my grandfather, Mrs. McMurtrey and my grandmother were friends, and their three boys were about the same age as my dad and aunt. Since that weekend in 1967, these families have met at the Western Hills Guest Ranch in Wagoner, Oklahoma every year. What began as nine people has grown as the "kids" married, had their own children, and now have grandchildren. This year, there were 24 of us! I have fond memories of my trips to Oklahoma - many of them centered around my grandparents. It was surreal to return this year with my husband and children and watch as Bailey and Campbell made their own memories with their grandparents.

Daddy and Bailey went horseback riding!
Campbell did not. He thought it was safer to sit on Dad's shoulders!
