First Day of School

Once again Judd was charged with taking the kids to school on the first day.  I left the house for my own first day of school while everyone else was still asleep.  Judd did a great job of getting them ready and taking the obligatory pictures.  He even obliged to using my Pinterest printables!

The next picture was actually taken at kinder orientation last week. Our goal on the first day was "no tears" so Judd didn't want to linger and take pictures.  Campbell did great, and not a tear was shed!

The night before...

We read some special books with the kids on the night before their first day of school.  

Campbell was a little nervous about going to kindergarten.  One night this week when I tucked him in, he cried and said, "I can't do kindergarten."  He was worried that he wouldn't remember his letters, and he said he felt like a stranger.  Poor thing!  I assured him that his teacher would teach him everything he needed to know for kindergarten and that he would meet new friends in his new class.  We prayed that God would be with him and take away his fears.  I just love his little heart.  He is a tough boy, but he has a sweet spirit.

Sky Ranch

When Judd was seven years old he attended Sky Ranch for the first time.  Twenty-eight years later, his daughter did the same.  Bailey loved every minute of camp and can't wait to go again next year!

Bailey left for camp on August 11, so we had a family birthday party at Nonnie and Bubba's house the day before.

Bailey's Birthday Outing

Bailey will be at Sky Ranch for her actual birthday, so we planned a fun outing with her BFF to celebrate our girl before she left. The girls chose to go to Build a Bear and have lunch at the food court in the mall.

These two girls crack me up. They are so much alike it's scary!  Two people asked if they were twins that day.  Both were shocked when I told them they weren't even related. I'm so thankful Bailey has such a special friend to grow up with.
