Easter Weekend: Sunday

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives!

The Easter Bunny came!

Easter Lunch: Pork Tenderloin with creamy gravy, Corn Casserole, Strawberry Spinach Salad (not pictured: Deviled Eggs, and Sister Schubert Rolls)

Easter Egg Hunt - There they go!

Uncle Kenny gave Campbell some hints.

Evaluating the loot!

We had such a great weekend with family! The kids had a lot of fun with eggs and the Easter Bunny came, but the most important thing about this weekend is JESUS. On Friday, our Savior gave His life up for us. BUT...on Sunday, He ROSE! Campbell says, "after 3 days (1-2-3), Jesus came back!" I'm so thankful that my REDEEMER LIVES!

Easter Weekend: Saturday

On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs! We had no shortage of eggs...I think we had four or five dozen!

Daddy helped Campbell with his eggs.

Bailey is a pro!

That night we went to the State Park to have hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner. The kids took their bikes and had a blast riding them at the park. It was almost hard to keep up with them - they're fast!

Easter Weekend: Good Friday

Maw-Maw, Pop, Kenny, and Meike came into town to celebrate Easter with us. We had a weekend full of fun! On Friday evening, we went to Repka's for dinner. Repka's is a hole in the wall Cajun restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Most people go for the crawfish, but we usually stick with the catfish and shrimp. This time Judd and I were adventurous and shared fried crawfish tails, boudin balls, and jalapeno crab poppers. Yum!

Behind the restaurant, you can see where they clean and boil the live crawfish. The workers will even let you pick them up! Bailey was not a fan.

We finally talked her into "petting" it.

The guys kept giving us bigger and bigger crawfish to hold.

Then they gave us this tiny guy and Bailey got brave enough to hold it!

And a picture of Campbell even though he would have nothing to do with "petting" or holding the crawfish.

The Train Park

Rachel introduced us to an AWESOME park and playground! We met her and Colton there last weekend. The kids played for 2 hours straight!

ALWAYS on the go!

Bailey was a big help with Colton!

Toy Story on Ice

Last week we took the kids to see Toy Story 3 on ice! They had a blast and Campbell is already asking to go see it again!

Before the show...

I broke my own rule about buying overpriced food or souvenirs and spent $10 on cotton candy that came with that hideous foam Buzz hat.

Campbell pointed to the characters when they came out on the ice!

Judd had to wear the Buzz hat...doesn't he look thrilled?

Campbell waved to his "friends" when it was over!
