Upward

Bailey had her first Upward game today! Her squad had to cheer at the 8:00 game. It was brutal getting up and out the door so early on a Satruday morning. Bailey had a blast cheering and chanting, although I don't think she watched a second of the actual game!

(The morning sun wrecked havoc on my pictures so you'll have to excuse the glare.)

Bailey is the third one from the left in these pictures.

Halftime

The cheerleaders held up the sign for the football players to run through after half time.

Cheerleading is hard work - she was hot and tired!

The girls earn stars at every game that they put on their megaphones. Bailey got the red star for leadership!

We can't wait to do it again next week!

Cheerleading

Our church is sponsoring Upward flag football and cheerleading again this year. Bailey was too young to do it last year so this will be her first year to cheer. Every year the entire league sports the same colors (the football players' jerseys are reversible so when the teams play each other they can wear different colors.) We were thrilled when we found out that this year's colors were green and gold!!!! We had team/individual pictures this afternoon so I just had to snap a few with my own camera before we left!

Listening Ears

Campbell is learning about body parts this week at school. Today they learned about ears. Here's the little man with his listening ears! What a cutie!

Blog Book

This is why I do what I do.

When I started this blog in 2007 it was mainly to update our out-of-town family with pictures and stories of the kids. Then it became an online scrapbook, baby book, and keeper of all of our memories - big and small. Then I learned about blog books! The thought of having all of these memories IN PRINT to actually hold in my hands and cherish forever was priceless. I tried several different programs/websites that download the contents of your blog into a book, but most of them were difficult and time consuming. I found out about blog2print.com through another blogger who posted pictures of her blog book and said it was super easy to use! I tried it out and completely agree! I ordered my first book this summer and love it! The first book has September 2007 through the end of 2008. I plan on doing a book for every year and I'm looking forward to ordering my 2009 book! So friends, this is why I blog!

Happy Campers!

Judd went to the football game on Friday night and then had a Fifth Quarter with the youth afterward. The kids and I stayed home so I thought it would be a perfect night to set up the tent that Maw-Maw and Pop gave them. The only place it would fit (other than the living room which I was not willing to give up) was the office so we set it up there. I thought they would have a great time playing in it then could have a "campout" and sleep in it too!

Look at how cute Campbell is in his big boy underwear!

Pretending to be asleep

Bailey would have slept in the tent, but Campbell was too scared. He wanted Bailey to sleep with him so they both fell asleep in our bed! So much for having a campout!

Friday Night Lights

One of the things we love most about living in a small town is Friday night football! The whole family attended the game on Friday, which happened to be homecoming. Campbell especially loves Tiggy, the Tiger mascot, and the inflatable tiger that the players run out of. Bailey loves watching the cheerleaders and Daddy enjoys the game itself!
